Virginia Claire Hoose, 75, Enjoyed Singing and Dancing

Virginia Claire Hoose (nee Frantz), 75, of Avon Lake died Monday, October 8, 2001 at the Rae-Ann Suburban Nursing Home in Westlake following a lengthy illness. She was born January 4, 1926 in Lakewood, Ohio and moved to Avon Lake from Cleveland in 1959. She was employed as a clerk for Blue Cross Blue Shield and had also worked at the Learwood School in Avon Lake as an assistant cook. Virginia enjoyed singing and dancing, her grandchildren and was "very kind to everyone".

Mrs. Hoose is survived by two sons: William of Avon and Phillip of Avon Lake; daughters: Denise Hanzel of Elyria and Jill Hoose of Avon; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a half-brother: Charles Sparbeck of North Ridgeville.

She was preceded in death by her husband: William Floyd Hoose in March of this year; and her parents: Irwin John and Claire (nee Laws) Hoose.

Friends may call at the BUSCH-BURMEISTER FAMILY CHAPEL, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2001 followed by chapel services at Resthaven Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 3700 Center Rd., Avon, at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Kelly Boyte Peters, pastor of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate. Entombment will follow services.
