Pamela K. Henderson, 57, Nord Center Clerk

Pamela K. Henderson, 57 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, was stricken suddenly with an apparent massive heart attack late Tuesday evening, October 9, 2001 at her home in Amherst according to the Lorain County Coroner's office.

Born November 26, 1943 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Pam moved to Amherst with her family in 1949 where she attended and graduated from Amherst Steele High School with the class of 1961. She had lived in Amherst the past 52 years.

Pam had attended Moddy Bible Institute for 3 years in Chicago, IL. She was a bank teller at the Oberlin Savings Bank for 20 years and had currently been working in the Clerical Department for the Nord Center Lorain. She was a member of Christian Heritage Assembly of God in Avon. An active participant in the Evangelism Explosion ministry of Faith Baptist Church in Amherst, a program in which she had participated in only hours earlier before her death on Tuesday evening.

Never married, Pam is survived by sisters Heather Foos of Willard, Holly Henderson of Amherst and Melody Grabo of North Olmsted; brothers: Mr. Lester Henderson of Wellington and Mr. Graham Henderson of Amherst; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Marie (nee: Finney) Henderson.

Friends may call Saturday, October 13, 2001 from 9-11 a.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst where Funeral services will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Norfleet Jones Associate pastor of Christian Heritage Assembly of God in Avon will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
