Georgia Gikas, 57, Sales Person
Georgia Gikas, 57 of Rocky River, formerly of Lorain, died Saturday October 13, 2001 in Oak Ridge Nursing Facility, Westlake following a lengthy illness.She was born October 9, 1944 in Athens, Greece. She came to Lorain in 1956. She moved to Rocky River in 1989 from Lakewood where she lived 14 years.
Ms. Gikas was an Admiral King High School graduate of the class of 1962. She was also an art student. She was a carpet sales person for The Carpet Barn in Cleveland.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Lorain.
Ms. Gikas enjoyed flower gardening, pets and art.
She is survived by her brother George Gikas of Elyria, sisters Zaf Gikas of Rocky River and Anastasia Huffman of Elyria, 4 Nephews and 1 Niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary (nee Koulafa) Gikas.
Private family services will be held.
