Philomena M. Tomazic, 65, Rebman's Bartender

Philomena M. "Philo" Tomazic (nee Preusser) 65 of Lorain died Wednesday, October 24, 2001 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain. Following a lengthy illness.

She was born December 14, 1935 in Werzburg, Germany. She immigrated to the United States in 1966. She made Lorain her home in 1968.

Mrs. Tomazic was employed as a bartender for 21 years for Rebman Recreation in Lorain until her retirement in 1996. Before that she worked for Stanidyne (Moen) in Elyria.

She was a member of Saints Cyril And Methodius Slovenian Catholic Church, Lorain. She enjoyed knitting and Polka dancing.

Among the survivors is her husband of 22 years Ken Tomazic, son David Sullivan of Amherst, daughters Silvia Brenner and Yolanda Sullivan both of Lorain, seven Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Sebastian and Olga (nee Pfanzer) Preusser and a brother Hans Saukel.

Friends may call Friday 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, Lorain, Ohio. Where the parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM.

Funeral service will be Saturday 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Reverend Paul Krajnik, Pastor of Saints Cyril And Methodius Slovenian Catholic Church, Lorain will officiate.
