Earl T. Andrews, 89
Earl T. Andrews, age 89, of Lorain died Saturday, October 27, 2001 at New Life Hospice, Lorain after a brief illness.He was born February 6, 1912 and was a lifelong resident of Lorain.
Mr. Andrews retired as an engineer from Bendix Westinghouse Co, in Elyria after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, Lorain and was a member of the Lorain Sports Hall of Fame and numerous professional and civic organizations in and around Lorain.
Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife of 31 years, Margaret (nee Reagan), eight children, Judy Reott of Lorain, Jon Andrews of Lorain, Tim Andrews of Lorain, Janet Callahan of Rosewell, Georgia, Joyce Motsch of Lorain, Chris Kohlmyer of San Diego, California, Kathy Shipp of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Tom "Buzz" Andres of Decatur, Georgia, 3 stepchildren: Mary Loretta Campbell of Dalton, Georgia, John McKee of Bowling Green, OH and Joseph McKee of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 23 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild and a fond and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (nee Sherck) of 34 years, daughter, Carol Kocak in 1995, step-daughter, Patricia McKee in 1989 and 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 310 8th Street, Lorain at 11:00 a.m. Family and Friends are asked to gather directly at the church. Rev. Fr. Daniel O. Divis, Pastor, Celebrant. The family will receive friends to celebrate the life of Andrew from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2001 at the Reidy-Scanlan-Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway in Lorain.
Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
