John J. "Jay" Zgonc, 50, Custodian and Bartender
John J. "Jay" Zgonc, age 50, of Lorain, died on Sunday, October 28, 2001 at Oak Hills Nursing Home, following an illness of 2 months.He was born on July 31, 1951 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident here.
John was a 1964 graduate of Admiral King High School
He was employed as a custodian at the Slovenian Home and also was a bartender at Tiny's.
He is survived by his sister: Lillian Zgonc, of Lorain.
He is preceded in death by his parents: John and Janice (nee Morris) Zgonc.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 5, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Simon Nekic, pastor of St. Vitus Catholic Church will officiate. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
