Angela G. "Angie" Doan, age 17, of Lorain died on Wednesday, October 03, 2001 at her residence while under the care of Hospice of Western Reserve, following a lengthy illness.She was born on April 30, 1984 in Lorain and has been a lifelong resident here.
She was a senior at Southview High School. She worked as a part-time cashier at Wal-Mart in Elyria.
Angie enjoyed shopping, listening to music, car shows and enjoyed spending time with little children.
She is survived by her parents: Michael and Tresa (nee Kopp), of Lorain; sister: Kimberly Doan of the home, many cousins, paternal grandfather: Edward Doan, of Lorain, paternal grandmother: Evelyn (nee Andrews) Burns, of Sullivan OH and step-grandfather: Timothy Burns of Sullivan, OH , maternal grandparents: William and Betty (nee Spencer) Kopp of Lorain and great grandmother: Esther Doan.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 5, 2001 from 2-4 and 6-8 in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Howard Spencer, pastor of Holy Ghost Field Church of Jesus Christ, Chillicothe, OH will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
