Myrth E. Herald, 79, Saxophonist
Myrth E. Herald, 79 (nee Ernsthausen) died on Saturday, November 3, 2001 at the home of her daughter in West Salem, OH.Mrs. Herald was born on January 7, 1922 in Pemberville, OH and has lived in Lorain for the past 51 years. She was an active member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lorain and was a member of the Charleston Village Neighborhood Committee; she volunteered with the Parkinson's Association, American Cancer Assoc., American Heart Assoc., and the Leukemia Association.
She was a saxophonist, enjoyed sewing, antiques, horses and dogs. She will greatly be remembered for her dedication and love for her family.
Mrs. Herald is survived by her four daughters, Micheline Bendotti of Phoenix, AZ, Barbara Gargiulo, of Sharon Center, OH, Sarah Gentry of West Salem, OH and Kathleen Herald, of Vermilion, a son, William J. Herald of bowling Green, OH and 13 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Herald in 1997, her parents, William H. and Anna (nee Smearsall) Ernsthausen, her sisters Mae Ernsthausen and Fern Palmer.
Friends may call at Schwartz-Spence and Boyer Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street Lorain, OH on Wednesday, November 7, 2001 from2-4 an d7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the Schwartz-Spence & Boyer Home for Funerals in Lorain, OH with Rev. Jimmy Madsen, co-pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.
Myrth E. Herald will be buried at Resthaven Memory Garden in Avon.
