Donald A. Barnes, 64, Regulator Man

Mr. Barnes was born, September 6, 1937 in Lakewood ahs lived in Avon Lake his entire life and has spent time living in Clarksfield Twp., the past 7 years.

Mr. Barnes worked as a Regulator Man with the Columbia Gas Company for 30 years. He was a 1955 graduate of Avon Lake High School and a founding member of Calvary Baptist Church, Avon Lake. He enjoyed cars, tractors and anything to do with the land.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Juanita (nee Bowers). Other survivors include 3 sons, Donald L. (Kathy) of Scotts, MI, David A. of Avon Lake, Douglas E. (Michelle) of Sheffield Lake, a sister, Judith D. Young of Avon Lake and a granddaughter, Joanna Barnes. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald E. and Dorothy A. (nee Barnes).

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Beldon Road, Avon Lake from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2001. Funeral services will be a the funeral home, Thursday, November 8th at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Barnes' son, Pastor Donald L. Barnes of the Galesburg Baptist Church, Galesburg, MI along with Pastor Alan Seaborn of the New London 1st Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Clarksfield Township Cemetery.
