Jeanette Ehrman, 76, Loving Mother and Friend
Jeanette Ehrman (nee Gustafson), 76 years of age, and a resident of Amherst passed away, November 10, 2001 at her home.Born September 6, 1925 in Taylor, TX where she was raised and graduated from Taylor High School. After marriage in 1922, she moved around the world with husband who was a career officer in the US Air Force. She has been a resident of Amherst since 1970.
Prior to marriage she worked for the department of motor vehicles in Austin, TX. After marriage her career was that of a homemaker and mother. She was a very active member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Amherst and United Methodist Women's Group. She was a former den mother, active in the community, and interested in supporting worth while charities. She enjoyed traveling, being outdoors, ad spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, William Carl Ehrman: sons, Stephen C. of New Mexico and David C. of Amherst: daughters, Debra K. James of Duluth, MN and Nancy K. Caster of Aurora, CO; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl Eric and Mabel, Elyria (nee Swenson) Gustafson; a brother, Carl Hartwin Gustafson; and by a sister Evelyn Samuelson.
Friends may call Monday, November 12, 2001 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m at the Hempel Funeral Home: 373 Cleveland Ave.; Amherst. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. from Park Avenue United Methodist Church, 396 Park Ave., Amherst with Rev. Kent Joy, Pastor officiating, Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst
