Pascual Sanchez-Cruz, age 90 of Lorain died on Sunday, November 11, 2001 at Lorain Manor Nursing Facility, following a short illness.He was born on May 14, 1911 in Humacao, Puerto Rico; he had lived in Akron before moving to Lorain this past June.
He is survived by his sons: Francisco Sanchez, of Boston, MA, Andres Sanchez and Victor Sanchez, both of Humacao, Puerto Rico, Oscar Sanchez of Orlando, FL and Julio Sanchez, of Wooster, Mass. Daughters: Josefina S. Rosario, of Lorain, Lydia Sanchez of Humacao, Puerto Rico, Sara Sanchez of Seattle, Washington, Aida Sanchez of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, Rosa Sanchez of Dallas, TX, Georgina Sanchez, of Humacao, Puerto Rico and Nelia Sanchez, of Boston, 54 grandchildren, brother: Alejandro Sanchez, and sisters: Elena Sanchez, and Francisca Sanchez, all of Humacao, Puerto Rico.
He was preceded in death by his sons: Leno Sanchez, Indio Sanchez, daughter: Julia Sanchez, brother Cesilio Sanchez, and sisters Beatris Sanchez.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 14, 2001 from 2-4 and 6-9 at the Iglesia Pentecostal Cristo Misionera, 1930 Broadway Avenue, Lorain where a Predecacion Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Rev. Augustine Serrano, co-pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
