Josephine J. Capretta Stewart, 83, Sales Consultant
Josephine J. Capretta Stewart (nee Naro), age 83 of Lorain died Sunday, November 18, 2001 at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph, Lorain following a lengthy illness.She was born on March 3, 1918 in Lorain where she has been a life long resident.
She attended Lorain High School and graduated in 1937B.
She worked as Furniture Sales Consultant for the May Company for 20 years, retiring in 1980. Prior to that, she was co-proprietor of Capy's Pizza, Lorain.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was also a member of the St. Peter Congregation of the Sacred Heart as well as the church choir.
Josephine was an excellent artist in her own right, enjoyed golfing, bowling and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Kenyon; 2 daughters: Dainne Banas of Oakland, FL and Patricia Long of Lorain; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters: Rosetta Gribben of Lorain and Mary Jane Lankford of Clearwater FL.
She is predeceased by her parents: Vincenzo and Rosina (nee Fruester) Naro; first husband Paul Capretta and brother Ben Naro.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. followed by an 11:30 a.m. mass at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
