Mary A. Domanski, 88, Clerk
Mary A. Domanski (nee Orlowski), age 88, of Lorain, died Sunday, November 18, 2001 in the coronary care unit of EMH Regional Medical Center (Elyria). She was born February 17, 1913 in Lorain and had been a long-time Lorain resident; she had also resided in Lincoln Park, MI from 1952 through 1963.Mrs. Domanski was employed for a number of years as a clerk for the Modern Troy Laundry (formerly located on 10th Street in Lorain) and had also been the long-time proprietor of Risko's Tavern.
An active parishioner of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church (Lorain), she was a member of the Alliance of Poles and the American Association of Retired Persons. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her family.
She is survived by sons: Edward M. Domanski of Warren, MI, and Robert Domanski of Naples, FL, daughters: Coletta Tait of Orion MI and Celine Hallier of Louisville, OH , 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward C. Domanski in 1970, by a son: Richard in 1998, by her parents: Adam and Alexandra (nee Wierzchon) Orlowski, and a brother: Stanley Orlowski earlier this year.
Friends may call Tuesday, November 20, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by her funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. John J. Kline, pastor emeritus of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church (Lorain) and Re. Mr. Robert Dybo, permanent deacon of the Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church will concelebrate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
