Grace M. Fullgrabe, 78, Avid Sports Fan
Grace M. Fullgrabe (nee Butler), age 78, of Lorain, died Sunday, December 2, 2001 at the Specialty Hospital of Lorain following an extended illness.She was born December 16, 1922 in Cross Plains, Wisconsin and had been a resident of Lorain since 1946.
Mrs. Fullgrabe had been employed as a defense worker during World War II and later as a machinist for the Ray-O-Vac Corporation while residing in Wisconsin. After relocating to Ohio, she was employed as a manufacturing technician for the Lithonia Downlighting Corporation.
She was an extremely active member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church (Lorain) where she was a member of Martha's Circle as well as a volunteer with the church's Meals On Wheels program. She had formerly served with the Lorain Emergency Police and had also served as a precinct woman for the Lorain County Board of Elections.
She was an avid sports fan and an ardent follower of both the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns.
She is survived by her brother: August Butler of Cross Plains, Wisconsin, 2 nieces, three nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew.
He was preceded in death by her husband: Adolph in 1984, by her parents: Leroy and Hulda (nee Scheele) Butler, and by brothers: William "Billy" and Donald Butler.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 5, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 6, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. in First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6th Street and Washington Avenue. The Rev. Jimmy W. Madsen, co-pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
