Irene Falasca, 92, Piano Player

Irene Falasca (nee Lorince) 92, of Sandusky died Monday December 3, 2001 in Avon Oaks Nursing Home, Avon following a lengthy illness.

She was born July 8, 1909 in Lorain where she lived until moving to Mt. Pelier, Indiana. From Indiana she moved to Sandusky.

Mrs. Falasca was employed as a seamstress for the Josephine Weitz Garment Factory, Lorain. She was also a pianist for the Elmer Olah and the Benczi orchestras.

Mrs. Falasca was a member of the Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ, Lorain where she was a faithful member of the choir, Hungarian Reformed Federation of America and the Hungarian Reformed Young Adult Group.

She enjoyed raising her Lapsa Apso dog "Muffy".

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Armand in December 24, 1991; parents John and Vera Lorince; brothers John and Edward Lorince and a sister Elizabeth Pongracz.

A memorial service will be Thursday, December 6, 2001 at 1:00 PM in Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ, East 31st and Globe Avenue, Lorain. The Rt. Rev. Zoltan D. Szucs, Pastor, and Bishop Emeritus officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
