Kenneth Keathley, 69, Grinder

Kenneth Keathley, age 69, of Lorain died on Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness.

He was born on March 27, 1932 in Teaberry, Kentucky moving to Lorain in 1952.

He was employed as a grinder at Lorain Works US Steel for 35 years, retiring in 1987.

He attended Little Edna Old Regular Baptist Church, Lorain. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local #1104.

Kenneth enjoyed fishing and camping with his 4 sons and loved talking on his CB radio (KADA2883).

He is survived by his 4 sons: Kenny of Westlake, Timmy of Amherst, Sammy and Clyde both of Sullivan, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; 4 brothers: Emery of Elyria, David and Richard both of Teaberry, KY and Roger Dale of Clyde, OH, 2 sisters: Lora Bryant, of Martin, KY and Wilmelene Moore of Price Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years: Versie (nee Blankenship) Keathley, in July 2000; brother: Howard and a sister: Viola White.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 7, 2001 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Saturday, December 8, 2001 at Little Edna Old Regular Baptist Church, 5160 Bond Avenue, Lorain from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. Elder Larry Newsome will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, OH.
