Carolyn Denney , 50, Clerical Worker
Carolyn Denney (nee Hylton), passed away Friday, December 14, 2001 at Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness.Mrs. Denney was born in Fireco, West Virginia, where she was raised and lived until coming to Amherst 34 years ago.
Carolyn and her husband owned and operated D&D Auto Sales in South Amherst where she assisted with the clerical and accounting work. She was a member of Church of God , Sheffield Lake and enjoyed ceramics, decorating cakes, macromae, bowling, camping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Suvivors include her husband of 31 years Donald Denney; her son Mr. Timothy Denney of Amherst; 3 Granddaughters; her brothers Mr. James Hylton of Lorain, Mr. Franklin Hylton of Coal City, W. Va, and Rev. Harold Hylton of Lorain; her sisters Stacey Shuck of Rittman, OH, Edna Hodges of Coal City, W. Va., Geneva Dolinge of Lorain, Juanita McAlpine of Pricewick, W. Va, and Betty Perdue of Avon, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Lennie(nee Bolen) Hylton.
Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave.; Amherst. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the Church of God in Sheffield Lake. The Rev. Michael LeBuhn, pastor of Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
