Frank R. Aguilar, 62, Served in Army

Frank R. Aguilar, of Lorain died Friday in the Emergency Room of Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, West, Lorain, following a sudden illness.

He was born in Lorain, where he has been a life long resident. He graduated from Clearview High School in 1957. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962 and was stationed in Paris, France. He was discharged with the rank of E-4.

He was emloyed as a Mechanic at U.S. Steel/Kobe for 32 years, retiring in 1999.

Frank was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge 1301, Lorain, and United Steelworkers Union Local 1104.

He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and wife.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diana (nee Claus) Aguilar; son: Anthony of Westlake; 2 daughters: Angela Alicea of Lorain and Lisa Zimmerman of Amherst; 6 grandchildren; and sister: Dolores Gonzalez of Lorain.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Agapito and Jesse (nee Silva) Aguilar; 2 brothers: Louie and Paul; and 2 sisters: Isabel Morales and Antonio Aguilar.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 17, 2001 from 2-4 and 6-8 in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Services will be held on Tuesday December 18, 2001 in the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. followed by Liturgy of the Word at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetary.

The Disabled American Veterans, Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20 will conduct military honors.
