Lillian "Aunt Lil" Engle, 78, Cook

Born April 20, 1923 in Lorain, she has lived here her entire life. She was a 1941 graduate of Lorain High School.

Mrs. Engle worked as a cook at Gargus Hall for 10 years retiring in 1999.

She enjoyed cooking, needlepoint and the outdoors.

She is survived by her brother Steve Gargus, of Lorain, sisters: Elizabeth Szabo, and Helen Kozopas, both of Lorain, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, parents, Stefan Gargus and Susie (nee Bodnar), a brother, John Gargus, 3 nephews and a niece.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 17, 2001 from 6-8 in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 18th at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Edgar Anthony, pastor of Ss. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, Twp.
