Epifania "Eppy" Collazo, 79, Eucharistic Minister

Epifania "Eppy" Collazo, (nee Rodriguez), age 79, of Lorain died on Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at the Cleveland Clinic, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on January 6, 1922 in Juncos, Puerto Rico, moving to this area in 1953.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain, where she was an Eucharistic Minister, visiting parishioner's homes to give communion.

Epifania enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years; Juan, son: Juan Carlos Collazo, of Lorain, daughter: Iris Delia Carrion of Lorain and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Placido and Isabel (nee Medina) Rodriguez, grandson: Ricardo Carrion in 1972 and 8 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 21, 2001 from2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Saturday, December 22, 2001 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. William Thaden, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
