Ernest M. Orozco, 47, Southview Graduate
Ernest M. Orozco, of Cleveland, died Thursday, December 20, 2001 in Fairview Hospital, Cleveland following a lengthy illness.He was born December 25, 1953 in Lorain and lived in Cleveland.
He graduated in 1973 from Southview High School, where he was a 4-years football letterman. As a freshman he scored the first touchdown for the High School.
Mr. Orozco was a welder working for the American Shipbuilding Co., Lorain then General Motors, Terex Division in Parma and then P.C. Campana Co., Lorain.
He was a member of St. John Church, Lorian where he played C.Y.O. football that his father coached and was an altar boy. He enjoyed motorcycles and riding his bicycle.
Among the survivors are his daughters Bridget, Nora and Mary Orozco all of Lakewood. His mother Rita (nee Cervantes) of Sheffield Township; brother Daniel (Jackie) Orozco of Sheffield Township; sisters Deborah Orozco of Sheffield Township and Regina (Lewis) Johnson of Oberlin; two Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Orozco, Jr.; Paternal Grandparents Ernest and Mary (nee Russo) Orozco; maternal grandparents Michael and Mary (nee Kuzniar) Cervantes; two uncles and one aunt.
Friends may call Saturday 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, Lorain, Ohio. Where the funeral service will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. James R. Ols, Pastor of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Elyria Township officiating.
