Tony N. Velez, 24, Southview Graduate

He was born March 27, 1977 in Lorain. He was a life long resident. He graduated from Southview High School with the class of 1996.

He worked as clerk in Charleston Center, Lorain.

Mr. Velez was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. He enjoyed using his computer, baseball and listing to music.

Among the survivors are his parents Nelson A. Velez and Isabel Lopez; brother Michael Perry of Conway, South Carolina; sisters Isabelle Penn and Karysha Melendez both of Lorain; maternal Grandparents Providencia Pino and Jamime Lopez of Hato Rey, Puerto Rico and two Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents Roger Velez and Maria Milgros.

Friends may call Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, Lorain, Ohio.
Funeral service will be Thursday 8:45 AM with closing prayers in the funeral home followed by 9:30 AM Mass of the Resurrection in Sacred heart Chapel 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate.
