Margaret E. Romoser, 87, Historical Society Member
Margaret E. Rosomer, (nee Hochstein) died Tuesday, December 25, 2001 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home in Avon, OH following a long illness.Mrs. Rosomer was born on July 15, 1914 in Lorain, OH and was a lifetime resident. She was a graduate of Lorain High School Class o 1932 B. She also studied art. She had been employed in the late 1930's at the Lorain TelephoneCo, after her marriage she was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Lakeland Women's Club, East Side Literary Club, Black River Historical Society, 50 year member of Queen City Chapter #66 of Eastern Star, and the Order of Rainbow Girls. She served as Worth Advisor to the Lorain Assembly of Rainbow Girls in 1934 and Grand Worth Advisor of Ohio Rainbow Girls in 1934-1935.
She enjoyed playing the organ and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Rosomer is survived by her two sons, John Rosomer, and Mark Rosomer both of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Rosomer on December 4, 1992, and her parents John and Meta (nee Englehardt) Hochstein.
Friends may call at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Friday, December 28, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Queen City Chapter of Eastern Star Chapter #66 will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on December 29, 2001 at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals with Rev. Sprite Johnson, pastor officiating.
Margaret E. Rosomer will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp., OH.
