Margaret "Peggy" Jean Mansfield, 78, Enjoyed Spending Time with Her Grandchildren
Margaret "Peggy" Jean Mansfield (nee: Murray), 78 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Tuesday morning, December 25, 2001 at her home after a brief illness.She was born December 12, 1923 in Sutersville, PA, where she was raised. She had been a resident of Lorain since 1946.
She was a homemaker and mother, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Lorain. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, William Oscar Mansfield; sons, William M. Mansfield of Amherst and David S. Mansfield of Berea; daughters, Katherine Reed of Amherst and Loretta Trafton of Lorain; seven grandchildren; and a sister Loretta Rocco of West Palm Beach, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William K. and Barbara Dorothy (nee McCann) Murray; and by sister Catherine Meyers.
Friends may call Thursday, December 27, 2001 from 6-9 p.m. and Friday, December 28, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. The Rev. Mark Wilke, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free Church, Amherst will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
