Harry Dennis, Jr., 86, Army Veteran

Harry Dennis, Jr., of Millersburg, Ohio, and formerly of Lorain died Thursday December 27, 2001 at the Scenicview Caslte Nursing Home in Millersburg following an extended illness. He was born December 28, 1914 in Newell, Pennsylvania, he had been a resident of Millersburg since 1955.

A World War II U.S. Army Veteran, he served as a Private First Class with the special weapons unit of the 112th Calvary.

He was employed for many years as a crane operator with U.S. Steel's Lorain Works. He was a member of United Steelworkers' Local 1104.

Survivors include his brother: Michael of Seabrook, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harry and Sarah (nee Ruzychi) Dennis, by sisters: Katherine Schooler, Joan Fedorcio, and Mary Johnson, and by brothers: Joseph, Andrew, Donald, and John.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Simo-Hromada Funeral Chapel - 3224 Broadway- Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Stephen Shields, pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (Sheffield Lake) officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery - Lorain.

The family suggests memorials in his name to the charity of the donor's choice.
