Edith H. Anderson, 93, Disney World Member

Edith H. Anderson, of Avon, formerly of Orlando Florida and Bay Village, passed away Sunday, December 30, at Avon Oaks Nursing Home, following a brief illness. Mrs. Anderson was born April 25, 1908 in Cleveland.

In the early 1950's, Mrs. Anderson along with her husband founded The Melvin A. Anderson Company, now known as Manco Inc. During the 1920's she worked for Ohio Bell, Cleveland and in the 1940's for the Continental Insurance Company, Bay Village. She was a founding member of St. Raphael Church, Bay Village. In Orlando, she was a member of St. James Parish, where she was active with the Lady's Guild and many charitable works. She was a life member of EPCOT Center, Disney World, a member of Avon Oaks Country Club, Avon. Mrs. Anderson enjoyed gardening and bowling. While in Florida, she looked forward to her grandchildren's visits and spending time at Lake Buena Vista Village.

Her husband, Melvin A. Anderson, whom she married in 1935, passed away in 1987. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen C. Terrell of Avon Lake, granddaughters, Paula Barton, Ruth Butts, Kate, Maureen and Colleen Terrell and 9 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by a sister Ruth Kappus and her parents, Carl and Helen (nee Ruddy) Plotner.

All services will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 32929 Lake Road, Avon Lake, Wednesday, January 2, where The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Timothy J. O'Connor, of the church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, Avon Lake.
