Victoria Julia Nehmey, 74, Lorain High Graduate

Victoria Julia Nehmey, (nee Butkowski) of Franklin, WI, formerly of Lorain, died Tuesday at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI.

She was born in Lorain. She graduated from Lorain High School. She lived in Lorain most of her life until moving to Wisconsin last year.

She was employed as an administrative assistant at the UAW Local #971 for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the America Syrian-Lebanese Club and BF Goodrich Retirees.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years: Sam D. of Franklin, WI, daughter: Janice Shulman, of South Milwaukee, WI, sons: John, of Oak Creek, WI, Ronald of South Milwaukee, 3 grandchildren, and sister: Stella Kielar, of Westlake, OH, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 7, 2002 from 5-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain and also on Tuesday, January 8th from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lorain, Rev. Fr. Joseph West, OFM Conv., pastor will officiate. Contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee or the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44195.
