Mary B. Donjan, 97, Lived in Europe
Mary B. Donjan, (nee Buskar), age 97, of Lorain, died on Monday at Avon Oaks Skilled Nursing Facility, Avon, following a lengthy illness.She was born in Puritan, PA, moving to Europe in the early 20's. In 1923, she came to Cleveland and settled in Lorain in 1925.
She was employed at S. Weitz Company, Lorain for 30 years, where she shaped collars for coats. She then worked at the Saddle Inn, Avon Lake, as a cook for 8 years, retiring in 1970.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Lorain. She enjoyed yard work, and her family.
She is survived by her daughter: Mary Ann Maltos, Lorain, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Andrew and Barbara Buskar and brother: Andrew Buskar in 1989.
Graveside services will be Thursday, January 10, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Daniel O. Divis, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, will officiate. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
