Mary Ann Morog, 80, Greenhouse Owner
Mary Ann Morog (nee Solomon), of Lorain died Tuesday, January 15, 2002 in her home following a brief illness.She was born April 21, 1921 in Lorain. She was a life long resident of Lorain.
Mrs. Morog and her late husband owned and operated Morog's Greenhouse on Elyria Ave. in Sheffield Township from 1965 until 1985. She also was employed as a machinist at Nelson Stud Welding in the early 1950's.
She was a member of Saint Vitus Croatian Catholic Church, Lorain and St. Teresa Guild of the Church.
Mrs. Morog enjoyed traveling, gardening and making crafts.
Among the survivors are her son John T. Morog of Avon; daughters Dolores Teaman of Grafton and Nancy Stoldt of Huron; four Grandchildren and Two Great Grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years John S. Morog in 1999 Parents Jess and Ann (nee Thomas); brothers William and Elmer Solomon; sisters Eleanor Solomon and Gertrude Boback.
Friends may call Friday 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, Lorain, Ohio. Where, the parish Rosary will be prayed Friday at 2:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be Saturday 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Fr. Simon Nekic, Pastor of Saint Vitus Croatian Catholic Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
