Sarah V. Weese, 83, Kindergarten Teacher
Sarah V. Weese, (nee Weese), 83, died Wednesday, January 23, 2002 at Specialty Hospital of Lorain after a brief illness.
She was born May 4, 1918 after 45 of teaching 2nd grade and kindergarten at St. Mary's and St. John School in Lorain.
She was a member of the Welcome Rebekah Lodge #283, Lorain, the American Red Cross, the RSVP Club, Lorain/Elyria, Chapter. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She is survived by her daughters, Martha Amato and Treva Beale of Lorain and Kay Fricke of Atlanta, Georgia; a son, Fred J. of Monroeville, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Dale McClung, Dayton; and a brother James Weese, North Ridgeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred S., 1987, her grandson, Joseph Amato, 2000; 3 brothers, and her parents, Fletcher W. and Minnie (nee Johns) Weese.
Friends may call Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend Robert J. Dybo, Deacon of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church will officiate. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens 3700 Center Rd., Avon, Ohio.
