Michael D. Ritenauer, 41, Computer Technician

Mark D. Ritenauer of Lorain died Thursday, January 24, 2002 at the Cleveland Clinic following a sudden illness.

Mr. Ritenaur was born August 3, 1960 and was a resident of the area for most of his life. He was a computer technician for Pitney-Bowes in Cleveland for three years. Prior to working at Pitney Bowes, Mr. Ritenauer worked at Emerald Valley Country Club in Lorain for three years and Rite-Nau Incorporated in Lorain. He also worked at Bell and Howell in California for a short time.

He was a member of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain and a graduate of Lorain Catholic High School in 1979. He graduated with high honors from I.T.T. in 1984.

He enjoyed golf, darts, dancing, singing and computers.

Survivors include his mother, Rosemary H. Ritenauer (nee Thesing) of Lorain, loving companion, Isabel Jacobs and her three children, Camila, Diana, and Bryon Jacobs all of Lorain, brothers, Fred and John of Lorain, Scott of Macedonia, OH and Robert of Amherst, sisters Lisa Given of Lorain, Tami Dziak of Lorain and 8 nieces and 10 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred M. Ritenauer in 1986.

Friends may call at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain on Sunday, January 27, 2002 at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 28, 2002, at 10:15 prayers a the Funeral Home followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Church of St. Peter in Lorain with Fr. Michael Williamson, associate pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
