Jean T. Lee, 81, Teacher

Jean T. Lee (nee Thomas) of Vermilion died Friday, January 25, 2002 in Kingston of Vermilion, Vermilion following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Lee was born December 29, 1920 in Lorain to the late, well know, area physician, Dr. and Mrs. David and Mabel (nee Smiley) Thomas. Mrs. Lee was a lifelong resident of the area.

She graduated from Ohio Weslyan University. She retired from Longfellow Junior High School in Lorain as a 7th and 8th grade teacher.

Mrs. Lee was a member of the First Congregational Church in Lorain, Wimodaugsis, Eastside Literary Club and the AAUW.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee, her daughter, Peggy Kalister of Amherst, OH , her three sons, Andy Lee of Wakeman, OH, Tim Lee of Lake Orion, MI and Tom Lee of Melbourne, FL, 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her sister Margaret Matthews of New York.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, David Thomas.

Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH on Sunday, January 27, 2002 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will b e held on January 28, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at First Congregational Church, 423 Washington Ave., Lorain OH 44052, with the Rev. Dr. David E. Wheeler, pastor, officiating.

Jean T. Lee will be buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
