Frank W. Kapronica, Sr., 71, Electrician

Frank W. "Fritz" Kapronica, Sr., age 71, of St. Cloud, Florida and former Lorain County resident, died Sunday, January 27, 2002 at St. Cloud Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born September 24, 1930 in Lorain and had been a resident of St. Cloud since 1987 coming from Grafton.

He attended Lorain High School and went on to serve with the United States Army. He was employed as an electrician with the Stanadyne Corporation of Elyria retiring in 1986. He had previously been employed for 20 years as an electrician/millwright the American Standard Tappan Corporation and prior tot hat as a brakeman for the Lake Terminal Railroad Company.

His hobbies included renovating old home and collecting coins.

Survivors include his son: Frank W. Kapronica, Jr. of Elyria, daughter: Jeanne W. Rodak of Westlake, 3 grandchildren, brothers: Albert Kopronica of Grafton, Richard Kopronica of Amherst, Ronald Kopronica of New Port Richey, Florida and sisters: Mary Tmian of Lorain and Helen Stanziano of New Port Richey, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Mary (nee Jankovic) Kopronica, by brothers: Joseph Kopronica, James Kopronica, John Kopronica and William Kopronica, and by a sister: Katherine Kelling.

Friends may call Friday, February 1, 2002 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 2, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
