Carol M. Donovan, 72, Enjoyed Bingo

Carol M. Donovan, of Sheffield Lake, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2002 at the Corinthian Skilled Nursing Center, Westlake following a lengthy illness. She was born October 22, 1929 in Buffalo, New York and lived in Sheffield Lake most of her life. She was a homemaker and attended St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Sheffield Lake and St. Teresa Avila Church in Sheffield Village. She enjoyed cooking and playing bingo.

Mrs. Donovan is survived by six sons, Richard (Ruth) of Sheffield Lake; Timothy (Tina) of Avon Lake; Patrick (Maryann) of Brooklyn, OH; Terrence (Stacey) of Avon Lake; John (Mary) of Westlake and Frank (Tami) of North Olmsted; five daughters, Kathleen Weber (Jack) of Florida; Suzanne Assenheimer (Carl) of Florida; Beth Anne Bissell (George) of New Haven, OH; Theresa Donovan of Florida; Carolyn Bray (Phillip) of Sheffield Lake; and nineteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John V. (1987); her parents Herbert Foley and Caroline (Schue); her stepfather Henry Karcher; two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. Avon Lake from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday February 7 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mr. James Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
