Helen J. Thomas, 78, Inspector

Helen J. Thomas (nee Perritt), age 78, of Lorain, died on Monday, February 4, 2002 at her residence, following a short illness.

She was born on May 1,1 923 in Warwood, West Virginia.

She was a 1940B graduate of Lorain High School.

Helen was employed as an inspector for General Industries, Elyria for 42 years, retiring in 1984.

She was a member of St. Vitus Catholic Church and St. Ann's Lodge Branch #75 of the Union of Poles in America.

She is survived by her step-son: David G. Thomas, of Lorain and several nieces and nephews, 2 grandchildren and brother: Joe Perritt, of Sheffield Village.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, David W. Thomas in 1994, parents: Joseph and Frances (nee Duel) Perritt, brothers: William in 1983, John in 1988 and Stanley in 1995.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain where a parish rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Simon Nekic, pastor of St. Vitus Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
