David R. Dieterich, 48, Construction Worker
David R. Dieterich, 48, of Avon Lake, passed away, Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at his home following a lengthy illness.He was born July 6, 1953 in Lorain and lived in Avon Lake his entire life. He was a 1971 graduate of Avon Lake School.
David worked in construction, was a diesel mechanic and black smith. He was employed for a time with Loeser Excavating, Avon.
He enjoyed working on his son's dirt-bike and watching him ride.
Mr. Dieterich is survived by his son, Brandon Gates at home, his mother, Elaine Dieterich of Avon Lake; a sister, Becki Kidder of Avon Lake and three nieces, Colleen, Laura and Jill. He is preceded in death by his father, Roland.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Beldon Road, Avon Lake, Friday, February 8, 2002 from 3:00 -5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A prayer service will be Saturday, February 9, 2002 at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Road, Avon at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Thomas Cleaton, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon.
