Mary Elieff, 87, Lorain Resident for 54 years
Mary Elieff (nee Byndas) of Lorain, died on Thursday February 7, 2002 at Specialty Hospital of Lorain, following a brief illness.She was born March 25, 1914 in Acosta, PA, moving to Cleveland at the age of 5. She has lived in Lorain for 54 years.
She is survived by her brother:Frank Byndas, Sr. of Brooklyn, Ohio, her god-daughter: Tamara Shutelock, of Olmsted Township, OH, and many nieces and nephews, great-neices and great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Daniel M. Elieff in 1991, 4 brothers: John, Nick, Michael, and William. And her parents: Wasyl and Eva (nee Kostka) Byndas.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 6-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where Parastas will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Family will also receive friends at Ss Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, E. 32nd and Gary Ave. Lorain on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at 10:00 a.m.
