Claribel Brandt-Williams, 90, Licensed Practical Nurse
Claribel Brandt-Williams (nee Lipple) died Friday February 8, 2002 at the Kingston of Vermilion following an extended illness. She was born January 19, 1912 in Greenville, Illinois and had been a resident of Lorain for most of her life having also resided briefly in Fort Myers, Florida.A graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Practical Nursing, she had served for ten years as a licensed practical nurse at the Shields Nursing Home in Lorain.
A member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church (Lorain) , she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by sons: Jack Brandt of Vermilion and William Brandt of Hilham, Tennessee, daughters: Beverly Koppenhhofer-Martin of Hood River, Oregon, Donna Luby of Lakewood, as well as 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: John Brandt by her second husband: Davis Williams, by her parents: Charles and Mabel (nee Ellingsworth) Lipple, and by sisters: Grace Neukumeter, and Harriet Brookey.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at noon in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel- 3224 Broadway - Lorain. The Rev. Jimmy Madsen, co-pastor of First Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park - Amherst Township.
