Claribel Brandt-Williams, 90, Licensed Practical Nurse

Claribel Brandt-Williams (nee Lipple) died Friday February 8, 2002 at the Kingston of Vermilion following an extended illness. She was born January 19, 1912 in Greenville, Illinois and had been a resident of Lorain for most of her life having also resided briefly in Fort Myers, Florida.

A graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Practical Nursing, she had served for ten years as a licensed practical nurse at the Shields Nursing Home in Lorain.

A member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church (Lorain) , she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by sons: Jack Brandt of Vermilion and William Brandt of Hilham, Tennessee, daughters: Beverly Koppenhhofer-Martin of Hood River, Oregon, Donna Luby of Lakewood, as well as 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: John Brandt by her second husband: Davis Williams, by her parents: Charles and Mabel (nee Ellingsworth) Lipple, and by sisters: Grace Neukumeter, and Harriet Brookey.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at noon in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel- 3224 Broadway - Lorain. The Rev. Jimmy Madsen, co-pastor of First Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park - Amherst Township.
