Edward H. Sanislow, 63, Private First Class
Edward H. "Old Goat" Sanislow of Lorain died Sunday, February 10, 2002 at his residence, following a sudden illness.Born September 29, 1938, in Oberlin, Ohio, he moved to Lorain 30 years ago. He served in the United States Army from 1961 until 1963 as Private First Class.
He was employed as a mechanic at Sylvester's Truck and Tire, Avon, for 15 years, retiring in 2002. Prior to that he worked at Signal Tire in Lorain.
Edward enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing pool.
He is survived by his mother: Marian (nee Lauer) Sanislow, of Lorain, 3 brothers: Robert, of Oregon, John and Charles both of KY, 2 daughters: Peggy Sanislow, of KY and Kim Smith of Lorain, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers: Richard, of Oberlin, William of KY, Robert of FL, and Albert Hudak of Elyria.
He is preceded in death by his father: Wesley Sanislow in 2000.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday Feb. 13 from 6-8 in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave. where services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Private Burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
