Candelaria Ceja, 100, member Guadalupe Society of Sacred Heart Chapel
Canderlaria Ceja, (nee Maciel) age 100, of Lorain, died on Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at her residence, while under the care of New Life Hospice.She was born on November 1, 1901 in El Paso, Texas, moving to Lorain in 1928.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lorain. She was also a member of the Guadalupe Society of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain.
She is survived by her sons: Raymond Hernandez, Victor Jr. Ceja, and Tony Ceja, all of Lorain, daughters: Luisa Lopez of Waco, Texas and Josephine Cruz, Angelina Garcia and Anita Garcia, all of Lorain, many grandchildren many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren, and brother: Andres Marciel, of Waco, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Victor Sr. in 1989, son: Salvador Hernandez in 1984 and daughter: Chole Pena in 2001.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2002 from 2-9pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by mass at 10:00am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lorain. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
