Mildred F. Bill, 80, Beach Park Tower Asst. Manager

Mildred F. Bill (nee Schlatterbeck) of Avon Lake, formerly of Sheffield Lake, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at Specialty Hospital, Lorain, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Bill was born June 21, 1921 in Cleveland and had lived in Avon Lake for the past 18 years.

Mrs. Bill worked several jobs including as a cook in the Bay High school Cafeteria, she also worked for Western Enterprises, Avon Lake, Nord Dry Cleaners, Bay Village and most recently she worked as Assistant Manager at Beach Park Tower, Avon Lake, where she also ran the exercise group. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a member of the 3rd order of St. Francis. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Bill is survived by 2 daughters Gail A. (Edward) Viancourt of Avon, Bonnie J. (Dale) Aslaksen of Sheffield Lake and a son Gary F. (Mary) Bill of Sheffield Township. Other survivors include 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Edward M. she is preceded in death by a son Robert A., parents John V. and Mildred Amelia (nee Milling) Schlatterbeck and 2 brothers, Walter and Charles.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, February 24. Prayer services will be at the funeral home, Monday, February 25 at 9:45 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 521 Harris Rd., Sheffield Lake at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Stephen Shield of the Church will officiate. Internment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
