Carmen L. Colon, 58, Enjoyed Arts and Crafts
Carmen L. Colon (nee Colon, age 58, of Lorain, died Thursday, February 21, 2002, at EMH Regional Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.Born March 14, 1943 in Morovis, Puerto Rico, she moved to Lorain in 1973. Prior to that she lived in New York, NY.
She was employed as a cook for Avon Oaks Skilled Nursing Facility, Avon for 15 years.
She was a member of the Lorain Spanish Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, Lorain.
Carmen enjoyed arts and crafts and traveling and was an excellent seamstress.
She is survived by her son, Adrian Roman of Yuma, AZ; Daughter, Sandra Agosto of Jacksonville, NC; 6 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Jose A. of Carolina, Puerto Rico, Juan J. of Jacksonville, FL, and Gilbert of Lorain; 4 sisters, Zoraida Phillips and Gloria Caminero, both of Lorain, Virginia Colon and Juanita Berrios, both of New York, NY.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Colon in 1973, mother, Gloria (nee Otero) Colon in 1985, and brother, Serafin E. Colon in 2000.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 23, 2002, from 1-3pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Private services will be held at a later date.
