Luz "Lucy" M. Santos-Ojeda, 69, Bible Reader

Born Oct. 30, 1932 in Morovis, Puerto Rico, she lived in Lorain for 20 years before moving to Amherst 4 years ago.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain, and enjoyed reading the bible, cooking, gardening, and taking care of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Fernando Sr., son, Fernando Jr., of Carolina, Puerto Rico, a daughter, Luz E. Morales, of Amherst, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, Agustin Ojeda Burgos, of Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, Carlos Ojeda Burgos, of Luquillo, Puerto Rico, and Marcelino Ojeda Burgos, of Cupey, Puerto Rico, 3 sisters: Rosa Maria Ojeda de Perez, of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Ana Maria Ojeda de DeLeon, of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and Susana Maria Ojeda de Nazario, of Toa Baja Puerto Rico.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcelino and Agustina (nee Burgos) Ojeda, brothers, Manuel Ojeda Burgos, and Jose A. Ojeda Burgos, and a sister, Virgen Maria Ojeda de Rivera.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 27th from 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 28th, at 8:45 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by mass at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. William Thaden, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
