Murdock Brunner, 86, Navy Veteran
Murdock "Bo" Brunner, of Lorain, died Saturday, February 23, 2002 at New Life hospice Center, following a brief illness. He was born January 15, 1916 in Lorain and was a life long Lorain resident.He was employed at American Crucible Kenco Pump Division and at C.M. Doane Electric Co., Inc., where he retired from in 1978. He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Cyrene, at PT Boat repair ship in the Pacific Theater.
He enjoyed woodworking, yard work and visiting all the Lorain County Parks.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, June (nee Lockhart); daughter Donna Wellins of W. Hartford, Conn., Son David of Lander, Wyoming; sister Emma Newell of Westerville, OH., 6 grandsons, four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters Corrine, Josephine, Nellie, Gladys, Arvella; brothers John, George, Raymond, Frank and William; parents Andrew and Nellie (nee Case).
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals 1124 5th Street. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Twp.
