Parma V. Canterbury, 89, Quilt Maker

Parma V. Canterbury, (nee Parker) of Sheffield Village, died Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on February 9, 1913 in Roane County, West Virginia, and moved to this area in 1948.

Parma enjoyed making quilts, canning, and gardening.

She is survived by her sons: Earl, of Lorain, Roy of South Amherst and Robert of Sheffield Village, a daughter: Molly Peyton, of Florida, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Lloyd A. Canterbury in 1988, her parents: Robert F. and Julie Ann (nee Short) Parker and sons: Billy Lee, Harley E. and Ray, brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 1, 2002 from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon in the funeral home. Pastor Norfleet Jones of Christian Heritage Church, Avon, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, Ohio.
