Margaret "Peggy" Martincak, 59, Lorain High Graduate
Margaret J. "Peggy" Martincak, of Avon, died Thursday, February 28, 2002 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a long illness.She was born November 25, 1942 in Lorain and had resided in Avon since 1996 moving from Lorain.
Miss Martincak was a graduate of Lorain High School.
She worked for several years as a secretary at Harbourtown Satellite Systems in Vermilion.
She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain. She enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles and needlepoint.
She is survived by her mother Hilda Martincak (nee Olsen) of Avon, brother Thomas Martincak of Lorain, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 4 great nieces, 1 great nephew and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Andrew Martincak and nephew Kenneth Martincak.
The family will receive friends Monday 3-5 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Braodway, Lorain, where prayer services will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held Wednesady at 10:30 a.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6th Street & Washington Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Jimmy Madsen, co-pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
