Charles "Bo" Smith, 75, Laborer for B and O Railroad
Charles "Bo" Smith, 75 of Lorain, died Friday, March 1, 2002 at Community Health Partners Hospital in Lorain, after an extended illness.He was born on August 6, 1926 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident here. He was a laborer for the B and O Railroad for 22 years before retiring in 1968.
He was a member of St. Ladislaus Church and the United Transportation Union Local 1858.
He is survived by a brother, Gerald D. Smith, of Lorain, two sisters, Marlene Torres, and Darlene Gauna, both of Lorain, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Smith in 1957, his mother, Anna Mary (nee Nagy) Smith in 1979, brothers, William in 1976 and Robert in 1989, and a sister, Joann Smith in 1987.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 from 12 noon until time of services at 1:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Rev. Father Patrick Shields, pastor of St. Ladislaus Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
