Victoria Wladecki, 100
Victoria Wladecki (nee Lepkowski), 100 of Lorain, died Friday, March 1, 2002 at Harborside Healthcare in Westlake, following a brief illness.She was born on April 16, 1901 in Lorain, Ohio where she resided most of her life and lived in Westlake for the last 3 years. She was a homemaker and at one time worked as a cleaning lady for the former Boone Elementary School in Lorain retiring in 1963.
She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and its Altar & Rosary Society. She also was a member and past president of the St. Theresa Lodge, member of Union of Poles and Gwazda Polek of Lorain. Her hobbies include sewing, especially designing and making her own clothes.
Survivors include her son Dr. William Wladecki of Venice, Florida; a daughter Carol A. Wladecki of Fairview Park, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marian in 1964, son Joseph; parents Stanley and Mary (nee Brzezinski) Wladecki, brothers Adam and Carl and sisters Eva Bentley and Helen Kozjan.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home 1939 Oberlin Ave. Lorain where a rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. by the Nativity Altar & Rosary Society.
Funeral service Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church 418 15th St. Lorain, with the Rev. Robert J. Glepko, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Memorial contributions may be made to Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.
