Rosanna Ferris Farmer, 88, Brookside Cafeteria Worker

Rosanna "Rose" K. Ferris Farmer (nee Ward) of Lorain, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2002 at her home following a short illness.

Mrs. Farmer was born, December 10, 1913 in Slippery Rock, PA and has lived in the area for over 55 years. She had worked from 1947 to 1965 for Fisher Foods and retired from the Brookside School in the mid 1970s where she worked in the cafeteria. She enjoyed RV traveling and needlework.

She is survived by a daughter Marlene Mathna of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, Robert of Lorain, Klanai of Lorain, Edward of Surprise, Arizona, and Vearl of Elyria. Other survivors include 4 great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by first husband Robert G. Ferris in 1971 and a second husband James Farmer in 2001. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Margaret (nee Brown) Ward.
