Marion H. Lisle, 78, Member Lake Shore United Methodist Church

Marion H. Lisle, 78, of Avon Lake, passed away Monday March 11, 2002 at the Elyria Methodist Village in Elyria following a short (six month) illness.

She was born September 24, 1923 in Elyria and moved to Avon Lake from the Grafton area 50 years ago. Marion was a dietician and a graduate of Ohio State University and a homemaker. She was a member of the Lake Shore United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's Club and the Order of the Eastern Star, Chaper 557, Avon Lake. She enjoyed reading, listening to a variety of music, rose and flower gardening, cooking, family gatherings and the fall season.

Richard and Marion are survived by three sons, Richard A. Lisle of Grafton; David Nelson Lisle of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Harry Lisle of Jacksonville, Florida; two daughters, Katherine Marion Swanson of Atlanta, Georgia; and Elizabeth D. Bendure of Richmond, Kentucky; fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth Beshire of Medina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Marion(nee Drake) Hitchcock and a sister, Jane Harris.

Friends may call at the BUSCH-BURMEISTER FAMILY CHAPEL, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. Avon Lake from 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday. All services will be held at the Lake Shore United Methodist Church, 33199 Electric Blvd. Avon Lake on Friday March 15 at 11:00am. Rev. William Grant, astor of Lake Shore United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will take place at the Nesbett Cemetery, Grafton Twp.
